For the hunters out there, you need to check out Jason Cruise’s website. He’s a sponsored hunter, author, corporate chaplain and dedicated believer in rescuing sex slaves from Moldova.
Jason is an authentic man, finding his purpose in serving the oppressed. I’ll be posting some of his thoughts later this week from his weekly Man Minute email.
Speaking of good guys, Ben Horne sounds like a guy I would’ve enjoyed spending time with outdoors. My condolences to his family.
From the Washington Post:
If Ben Horne had summed up his life in one quote, it might have been his favorite one from Russian climber Anatoli Boukreev: “Mountains are not stadiums where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, they are the cathedrals where I practice my religion.”
This sounds too good to be true…”Rarely hiked Yosemite ridges. Rangers, guidebook writers, outfitters and ultra-hikers dish their favorite routes for the first time.” Backpacker Magazine highlights these trails less traveled in Burn After Reading.
I love the water. I like to ski in the winter, raft in the spring and fish and swim during the summer. When’s the last time you’ve been on a lake? Here’s a USA Today list of the Best Lakes in America.
Zippo makes outdoor gear? Check out the wheels on this grill.
